Mr. Thompson is a 1957 graduate of Salinas High School in Salinas, California.

He is a 4 year veteran of the United States air Force.

After his service to our country, Mr. Thompson became employed with the United States Postal Service of which he retired in 2001. He then started working for the City of Eunice for eleven years as a Supervisor for community service workers and also as a Code Enforcer which included enforcing city ordinances as well as being in charge of FEMA for the City of Eunice. He has recently returned to work for the City of Eunice in the same capacity.

Mr. Thompson has been married to his wife Vel for fifty seven years. They are the parents of three children.

He was appointed by the City of Eunice and has been a Board member at the Port of Krotz Springs for the past nine years.
